Bevel-Edge Bathroom Mirrors
A bevel-edge mirror is a frameless mirror whose edges are ground and polished at a shallow angle, creating a fine glass border that catches the light. It's the understated way to get a crisp, built-in look without adding a frame colour to the room.
What the bevel does
The bevel is a machined angle around the perimeter of the glass. It softens the otherwise hard edge of a frameless mirror and adds a subtle prism line that reflects light, giving the mirror a little more presence than a plain flat-polished edge. Because there’s no frame, a bevel-edge mirror sits quietly against any wall colour or tile and lets the rest of the room’s finishes lead.
Where it suits
Frameless bevel mirrors work well in light, contemporary bathrooms and in smaller rooms where a chunky frame would feel heavy. Hung as a large single panel they make a space feel bigger; as a pair over a double vanity they keep the look clean. They’re also an easy match if your tapware finishes are mixed, since there’s no frame colour to coordinate.
Fixing and durability
Choose a mirror with a moisture-resistant backing suitable for damp areas, and fix it with mirror adhesive plus mechanical clips or concealed brackets rated for the weight. Keep it clear of direct shower spray where possible, and clean with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner so the polished bevel stays clear.
