Frameless Bevel-Edge Bathroom Mirrors

A frameless mirror with a bevelled edge is a quietly refined choice for a bathroom — the angled polish around the glass catches the light and gives a clean, jewellery-like finish without any surrounding frame. At a compact 450 x 600mm it is well suited to hanging above a single basin in a smaller room.

What the bevel edge adds

A bevel is a shallow angle ground and polished into the perimeter of the glass. It softens the transition from mirror to wall and adds a subtle prismatic sparkle where the light hits it. Because there is no frame to collect dust or date the look, a bevel-edge mirror tends to sit comfortably in both traditional and modern bathrooms.

Sizing it to a compact basin

At 450 x 600mm this is a small mirror, which is exactly what a narrow vanity or powder room wants. As a rule the mirror looks best no wider than the vanity below it, centred over the basin. Hang it so your eyeline falls in the upper third of the glass — for most people that means the top edge a little above head height.

Fixing and care

Frameless mirrors are usually fixed with concealed clips or a mirror adhesive onto a sound, flat wall. Keep the fixings clear of the polished bevel so it stays the visible feature. Wipe with a soft cloth and avoid letting cleaning spray pool at the edges, which protects the silvering over time.
